The Illusion of the Cloud
There is no "Cloud." It is simply someone else’s computer. While US tech giants promise convenience, the price is your absolute control over your business data. In today’s legal and political climate, being dependent on foreign servers is a strategic liability.
Security as a Foundation, Not a Subscription
Windows was not built to be "Secure by Default." Instead, it forces you into a cycle of endless updates and paid antivirus subscriptions. We break that cycle. By using Unix-based systems (like OpenBSD and Linux), we build security into the DNA of your office.
The technological world is changing faster than ever. Where businesses previously had no choice but to follow the subscription models of big software giants, the current generation of Open Source software and Apple Silicon hardware offers a superior alternative.
For you, such a transition means that IT becomes an asset again instead of a cost center. You get a system that is not only faster and more secure but also protects your company’s intellectual property.
By combining the power of Local Artificial Intelligence (AI) with the indestructible stability of Linux and Unix, we create a work environment that is ready for decades to come.
Under current European regulations (GDPR) and the specific Spanish implementation (LOPDGDD), reliance on American cloud infrastructure poses a growing legal risk. Due to the US CLOUD Act, American authorities theoretically have access to data stored with parties like Microsoft or Google, regardless of whether the server is physically located in Europe.
Adios Windows’ hybrid Linux and Unix solutions fundamentally eliminate this risk.
Read more on our "Data and the Law" page to understand what is permitted under Spanish law, and why a local Linux/Unix setup is the ultimate answer.
My system infrastructure is built according to the 'Defense in Depth' principle, where every layer fulfills a specific security function:
The Gateway (OpenBSD Firewall): The first line of defense between your office and the internet. It filters all incoming and outgoing traffic at the packet level. This is a 'silent' barrier, invisible to external scanners.
The Hub (Mac Studio / Ubuntu Server): This is where high-performance services run at your request—such as Local AI (Ollama), PostgreSQL databases, or NextCloud. This system is shielded from the public internet by the firewall and remains accessible to you and your staff via an exceptionally secure Unix-based environment.
The Clients (Laptops/Workstations): Employees connect through an encrypted WireGuard VPN tunnel. This provides the speed of a local network combined with the security of military-grade encryption, no matter where they are located.
What is a DNS Server? (The Internet’s Phonebook)
Computers don’t communicate using names, but numbers: IP addresses. A DNS server is the digital phonebook that translates the name you type into the correct number.
You type: AdiosWindows.es; the DNS server says: "That is number 123.456.78.90," after which your computer establishes the connection and displays the requested website.
The Hidden Passengers
Did you know that every visit to an average website opens dozens of invisible connections to ad networks and data miners? These 'digital hitchhikers' create profiles of your business operations and your staff without your consent, with the sole purpose of bombarding you with unwanted advertising and tracking.
This local, filtering DNS server acts as an intelligent bouncer for your network. Every requested name or IP is cross-referenced with a database of addresses known for spying, data harvesting, or persistent tracking.
Privacy-First: Unwanted tracking scripts and ad servers are blocked before they even reach your computer. Your browsing habits remain yours.
Maximum Speed: Because the 'ballast' of ads and trackers is never loaded, websites open noticeably faster on your workstations and laptops.
Security: We block known malicious domains (malware and phishing) at the network level, proactively protecting your employees from human error.
The Result: A clean, lightning-fast, and discreet network where your staff can focus on work without digital onlookers.
Unix: Born of Necessity and Vision
Around the turn of the century, I was responsible for building an IT infrastructure in Rotterdam. With limited budgets but high requirements for security and stability, I discovered my passion for Open Source software. I specialized in the OpenBSD operating system, the global gold standard for security, using it to set up robust web servers, firewalls, and fully automated offline backups. Where others chose expensive licenses, I chose the indestructible logic of Unix.
The Educator: Making Technology Understandable
Alongside my technical foundation, I spent ten years training students at the Da Vinci College (ROC) in Dordrecht, the Netherlands. As a practical instructor and lecturer in Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics, I learned how to translate complex systems into practical applications. I am experienced in guiding people through transitions: from "how does it work?" to "how do I get the most out of it?"
My Mission on the Costa Blanca
Today, I combine these two worlds. I bring my years of experience with Linux and Unix to entrepreneurs who want to regain control over their data. I don't just build a system; I ensure you and your team can get started with it immediately.
(Note: As a certified C2-level English speaker, I guarantee clear and professional communication for my international clients.)
My approach to automation doesn't come from a corporate office, but from the workshop floor. As a former master craftsman in metal technology and a specialist in mechatronics, I view a digital infrastructure the way a craftsman views a technical structure: the foundation must be indestructible, the wiring must be logical, and the result must simply work.
I am not an IT guy who speaks in incomprehensible code. I am a builder who understands how hardware, software, and human action are interconnected. Whether it involves managing a heating or solar installation with sensors and smart plugs, or setting up a secure AI server. For you, this means a down-to-earth, transparent approach. No complicated 'cloud-mist,' just solid digital craftsmanship where technology serves your business—not the other way around.
